 oster Seeon\, Bavaria\nDear Scholars in Cancer Prevention\, \nIt is my gr
 eat pleasure to announce the 3rd Summer School of the German Cancer Preven
 tion Graduate School (CPGS) taking place from 3 to 7 August\, 2026 at Klos
 ter Seeon\, located close to Munich in Bavaria\, Germany. \nCancer is a m
 ajor and straining disease burden worldwide. Due to demographic developmen
 ts\, the number of newly diagnosed cancer patients is expected to rise fro
 m approximately 20 million in 2022 to 35 million in 2050. In addition to p
 rogress in cancer therapy\, major efforts will be required to alleviate th
 e burden of disease for the rapidly increasing number of cancer patients\,
  but how to best design\, implement and evaluate effective primary cancer 
 prevention measures is challenging. \nWe have made every effort in putting
  together a comprehensive scientific program on state-of-the-art primary c
 ancer prevention research and gaining internationally recognized experts i
 n the field as faculty for the summer school: Here you can find the progra
 m.  \nParticipants will include PhD students and faculty enrolled in the
  CPGS\, the first graduate school for cancer prevention research in German
 y\, as well as interested scholars outside the CPGS. \nWe are looking for
