The German Cancer Research Congress is a joint event of the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ), the German Cancer Aid (Deutsche Krebshilfe) and the German Cancer Society (DKG), together with the Oncology Centers of Excellence of the German Cancer Aid (CCC-Netzwerk der Onkologischen Spitzenzentren), the German Cancer Consortium (DKTK), the National Center for Tumor Diseases (NCT), and the Division of Experimental Cancer Research (AEK) of the DKG.
The congress is a contribution to the National Decade against Cancer and aims to promote networking between various key players and stakeholders in the cancer research landscape in Germany, and to feature selected highlights and cutting-edge science from basic via preclinical to translational cancer research. Moreover, the German Prize for Cancer Prevention Research is awarded the second time.
