This one-day online refresher course in accordance with § 28 para. 3 GenTSV is a refresher on genetic engineering laws, the registration of genetic engineering work, risk assessments and safety measures in genetic engineering laboratories. In addition, the course offers the opportunity to discuss the direct implementation of the legal requirements using practical examples and to exchange views with participants and lecturers on real case studies and issues. The refresher course is officially recognized and valid nationwide.

Target group

Biologists, physicians, biochemists and other natural scientists who have already attended the basic training for project manager expertise according to GenTSV §§28 Abs.2 S.1 Nr.3, Abs.5 and who need a refresher course in project manager expertise, e.g. because the last refresher course took place more than 5 years ago.


Requirements for participation

Having already attended a basic course of the advanced training course according to § 28 GenTSV, basic computer skills (web browser, zoom) as well as a technical device with camera for attendance control. The course will be held in English and you must be able to follow the course in English.

Please note this is a refresher course. If you need the basic course according to § 28 GenTSV to obtain the so-called "project manager's license", you will find corresponding course offers here.


Course completion

After the course, a multiple choice exam must be completed and submitted within one week (via Moodle, duration approx. 30 min). Please take this into account in your time planning. Afterwards, you will receive a personal certificate of attendance of the Germany-wide recognized training event according to § 28 para. 3 GenTSV.
