WELCOME to Balkans DKFZ & Alumni Reception
Celebrating cultural diversity
The objective is to bring Alumni back to the DKFZ to network with current researchers, at the same time celebrate the cultural diversity of the DKFZ community.
PROGRAM
- 4.30pm - 6.00pm Programme: Panel discussion with Balkan Alumni on science and technology, flash talks will take us on a tour through the Balkan countries history, sightseeing and traditions. There will be fun videos and Bulgarian folklore dancing with national costume, as well a dance and music performance from Greece.
- 6pm - 8pm: Reception in the Foyer with Pan-Balkan food and drinks, music and video impressions, a poster session as well as a Bulgarian dance workshop will follow the session.

It has long been a DKFZ Alumni tradition to host an annual reception focusing on a specific region for current and former DKFZ employees. Since 2014, we have already focused on India, China, Latin America, Italy, Turkey and Egypt. This year’s Alumni Balkans Reception is being organised with the support of DKFZ colleagues and Alumni from the Balkan countries.

Registration Closing Date: 5 August 2024.
Please do register in the coming weeks before the “summer break” as we need to know the number of participants to be able to arrange specialty catering within the budget.
