WELCOME to the Günther Schütz Prize
In recognition of Prof. Dr. Günther Schütz’s inspirational mentoring and scientific achievements, the Schütz Family together with the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ), the Chica and Heinz Schaller Foundation, Schütz’s former collaborators, colleagues, and friends had decided to inaugurate a Günther Schütz Prize that will be awarded annually – and was awarded for the first time in 2023.
The Günther Schütz Prize will honor outstanding scientific achievements and will be awarded to a young scientist working in biomedical research at the DKFZ or the University of Heidelberg where Günther Schütz taught, mentored and performed research for more than 35 years.
The prize money of € 3.000,00 (EUR three thousand) is intended to recognize young talent at early stage and support their career promotion.
