WHO can apply?
Any Ph.D. student or MD student or Postdoc (m/f/d) within her/his first post-doctoral position
- who holds a primary affiliation at the DKFZ or the University of Heidelberg and
- who has published a peer-reviewed paper of outstanding research or technical merit within the previous two calendar years
either can apply her-/himself or be nominated by a division head of the DKFZ or the University of Heidelberg. Further scientific achievements including other publications, theses, invention, and contributions to the research community will be considered.
WHAT needs to be submitted?
The application or nomination should include the following documents:
- cover letter (maximum 1 page)
- CV
- short description of research achievements (maximum 1 page)
- copy of the peer-reviewed paper
- recommendation from current lab head
- any additional documentation you wish to be considered
These documents must be uploaded under the section “Application or Nomination for Prize” (see further details there) and be submitted by
30 August 2024.
