Dear Doctoral Researchers,
If you've received an email from the PhD Program Office confirming your eligibility for the 2025 DKFZ PhD Retreat, it's time to register! Be sure to sign up by 27 April to secure your spot.
This year, we’re hosting two back-to-back retreats at the Landesakademie für Jugendbildung in Weil der Stadt:

Each retreat starts at 8:00 AM from the DKFZ main entrance (Im Neuenheimer Feld 280), where a bus will take you to the venue. After three exciting days, we’ll return to DKFZ by approximately 5:00 PM. Please note that individual travel is not permitted, unless in certain exceptional circumstances – for that please contact the PhD Program Office.
The PhD Retreat is a one-time must-attend event during your doctoral journey, designed to be a captivating mix of:
🔬 Scientific presentations by fellow doctoral researchers
🎤 Alumni talks for career insights
🛠️ Workshops to sharpen your skills
🤝 Team-building activities and social events to bring you closer to your colleagues.
To earn one credit point for your Blue Sheet, you’ll need to present your research and participate in all sessions.
Once registrations are finalized, we’ll follow up with all the details you need.
