Stop Waiting, Start Creating:
Apply Entrepreneurial Thinking to Research, Industry, and Real Life
Target audience
Researchers, postdocs, and PhD candidates who want to:
- Take control of their research path instead of waiting for the perfect conditions.
- Develop an entrepreneurial mindset to make their work more impactful.
- Create meaningful collaborations with industry and beyond academia.
- Apply Effectuation principles to navigate uncertainty and drive real-world change.
Content and aim of the workshop
Most researchers wait - for funding, for ideal conditions, for the "right time."
But entrepreneurs act with what they already have.
Join this interactive workshop to apply entrepreneurial thinking to research and create real impact, inside and outside academia.
We will explore and apply the principles of Effectuation (Sarasvathy, 2001)* a decision-making framework used by expert entrepreneurs to turn uncertainty into opportunity.
Workshop Details & What You’ll Learn
- Use your existing skills, networks, and data to move forward
- Build meaningful collaborations beyond academia
- Turn unexpected results into new opportunities
- Take immediate action instead of over-planning
This is an interactive training - you’ll be working on your research topic and identify hidden opportunities, reach out to a collaborator, and create a personal action plan.
