About the morning session
The symposium is dedicated to the appointment process for the new Independent Junior Research Group Leader in Translational Cancer Research at the DKTK partner site Freiburg. The position aims to strengthen the site’s profile in one of its key focus areas – Cancer Immunity and Escape, Radio-Theranostics and Imaging, or Translational Epigenetics and Genomics – and is closely aligned with the strategic pillars of the DKTK, ranging from therapeutic innovations to diagnostic innovations and molecular prevention. Six shortlisted candidates will present their scientific achievements and future project ideas in a 20-minute talk, followed by a 10-minute discussion. The event thus offers the opportunity to gain insight into innovative concepts addressing fundamental cancer-related mechanisms and to engage in exchange with promising next-generation researchers.
