Thank you for your interest in the Summer School!

We are able to fund a select number of participants on a reimbursement basis to travel and stay in Heidelberg. Up to 850 Euro of travel and accomodation costs will be available. The decision on supported participation will be made no later than June 1st, 2026.

Supported participants will be chosen based on a short (<600 words) personal statement covering ALL the questions below.

  1. Why are you interested in attending this summer school on (transcript)omics analysis and integrating sex as a biological variable? (Describe your motivation and why this topic is relevant to your research or career development.)

  2. Briefly describe your current research project and how transcriptomics is used or could be used in your work.(Include the biological question or system you study.)

  3. How do you expect integrating sex as a biological variable to improve your research or analyses? (If applicable, mention any challenges you currently face.)

  4. What specific skills or knowledge do you hope to gain from the summer school? (For example: experimental design, differential expression analysis, sex-stratified analysis, etc.)

Please use the "Abstract Submission" form below to share your personal statement. Please put your name and career stage as the "Title", E.g: Mario Rossi - PhD student, 1st year.

Please note that only participants who meet the eligibility criteria, in terms of the level of knowledge required to actively participate in the workshop as defined by the organizing committee, will be eligible for reimbursement. If you are already an EU-SABV member, you are required to register according to the registration criteria. If you are not a member, you may register with the e-COST portal here or after recieving notification of your selection. Formal invitations and reimbursement will be coordinated through the e-COST portal.
