Dear Doctoral Researchers,
If you've received an email from the PhD Program Office informing you that you are eligible to attend the 2024 DKFZ PhD Retreat this year, please register here by 24 May.
There are 2 retreats this year, taking place back-to-back from 1-3 July and 3-5 July at the Landesakademie für Jugendbildung in Weil der Stadt. Each retreat will start at 8 am (meeting point: DKFZ main entrance, Im Neuenheimer Feld 280), where you will travel by bus to the retreat. Each retreat will end at approximately 5 pm when the bus will drop you back off at the DKFZ. Please note that individual travel is not permitted.
The PhD Retreat is a three-day event that every DKFZ doctoral researcher attends once during their PhD. The format of the retreat is similar to that of a conference, which includes scientific contributions by the participating doctoral researchers along with alumni talks, workshops, team building activities and social events.
Doctoral researchers are required to present their research work and attend all the sessions of the retreat in order to receive one credit point for their Blue Sheet.
