CoViPa – Virological and immunological determinants of COVID-19 pathogenesis - lessons to get prepared for future pandemics:
The research network CoViPa, funded by the Helmholtz Association, is dedicated to addressing major unresolved questions surrounding pandemic viruses. Through interdisciplinary collaboration, the network aims to generate critical insights into pandemic viruses and those that have pandemic potential, in order to better prepare society for future pandemics.
Our Key Focus Areas:
🔬 The replication mechanisms of SARS-CoV-2 and novel therapeutic concepts to combat infections by this and other viruses with pandemic potential
💉Studies of immune responses induced by SARS-CoV-2 infection and vaccination against this and other emerging viruses
🌍 Future Pandemic Preparedness: Strategies and technologies to respond effectively to future threats
